Friday night, my favorite young man invited me to dinner. You must understand: I'm not one for fancy restaurants and expensive foods. I enjoy a good meal, but I dine mostly for the social aspect - a thing which can be done anywhere. He knew this. And yet, he told me, he wanted to take me to a nice dinner. So I got ready. I chose a nice, black dress and was ready when he came at seven. I had no idea where we were going. To my surprise and delight, we arrived...
...at his house!
He escorted me to their detached school room. When the door opened, I was met with a beautiful scene of lights, flowers, candles, and artwork. Oh, and the Finding Neverland soundtrack playing softly. :)
Notte bella means "beautiful night."
We enjoyed a fantastic meal of salad (with the best homemade dressing!), garlic bread, and delicious spaghetti!
Ta da!
I do believe Ty came up with this idea all on his own, but his lovely family helped him pull it all together in one afternoon!
It was my favorite-ever fancy dining experience - hands down. Thank you so much, Ws!

Awwweeee! Tears filled my eyes when I read this. How incredibly sweet :) I think you found a keeper!
ReplyDeleteLovely dress by the way :-)
Yep, it was all Ty's idea! The girls just put the touches only they can do.
ReplyDeleteYou should have seen him trying to describe what he wanted: 7:30 in the morning before he left for work, he's standing there, blinking, and trying to put two sentences together. He said it was beyond his expectations! (Good things Moms understand sleep-speak.)
Jessie, your beautiful non-stop smile was worth it. Did you hear his stage whisper to me? "MOM, DOESN'T SHE LOOK PRETTY?"
Yes, she did!
Aww, that's so sweet and thoughtful!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome Jessie! I'm glad you both had a great time! :]
ReplyDeleteoops the above comment is mine :P
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, thoughtful, romantic evening! Truly, Notte Bella!
