Recently I heard of a talent show theme that surprised me.
The 90s.
Spice Girls (which I was never allowed to listen to, for good reason!), boy bands, Celine Dion, electronic drum beats, lots of synth. Anyone?
First of all, I can think of so many better decades to resurrect. (Really, any other decade is significantly better musically!) Secondly, am I really getting to be so old that the years of my childhood are being mocked? I feel like the 90s just happened! Isn't it 2001 or something?
Just wait until my children see the hand-painted, matching shorts and blouses that I wore...
I was never allowed to listen to Spice Girls either, but I found a way. Looking back, I don't know why I even wanted to, they weren't that great.
