I baby sat Gabe and Sophie. :D As an additional treat, their big sister, Hannah, hung out with us, too! She's wonderful and was a huge help in our endeavors.
Here we are making caramel apples. Very fun and very sticky. :) In the background, you can see the Gator game on the TV. It was a pretty crazy time to make caramel apples. Dad's *ahem* enthusiasm about the game startled the kiddos a few times.

Hello, Autumn.
Won't you stay awhile and humor us?
I've plenty more pumpkin breads, bars, and pies to make and many more sweaters and such to wear!
Your consideration is much appreciated.
Sprinkles make anything better!
We also went to a pumpkin patch. The weather was perfect. We went about 5pm, so the late afternoon sun was perfect for pictures, too.
I love that warm, natural lighting.
Sophie wasn't content to just look at every pumpkin; she had to handle each one, too. I caught her throwing pumpkins on several occasions but quickly put a stop to that.
This is my favorite artistic picture of the day. I just love it!
I like this one a lot, too. See how big my Gabey is getting? He turns six next week! Totally excited about spending his birthday with him! :D
The little ones were too busy to stop for a picture, so I made Hannah pose instead. ;) She's a great sport!
Can you tell Sophie loves her pumpkins. She carried armfuls around and told me that they were all perfect pumpkins. It's a miracle we were able to settle on one!
For this second one, Hannah was trying to get Gabe to smile more naturally. The result?
A silly face from Sophie (and a very handsome smile from Gabe).
Hm. Gabe only looks like I'm torturing him because of the sun. I promise!
Take two. Now Sophie's not looking. Hmmph. They were pictured-out by this point of the trip.
No matter. I captured this one, and it's also a favorite from the day.
So precious!
I just love how I can look at all these pictures and see fall! I love the pumpkins, the hay, the warmer clothes - everything!Hello, Autumn.

Beautiful day, beautiful photos! I miss you, Jess!
ReplyDeletePS We were at a farewell party for the Lieberts. Our resident Gator (Mr. S. Robison) dutifully stayed in his truck until the victory was won, so he could report to us all.
Cute pictures!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a splendid Saturday.
