Not just any old hat that I could buy in the states, but the hat.
A hat to add to my vintage hat collection that would always remind me of my trip to Paris.
Yesterday we went to an outdoor market full of so many wonderful antique pieces: furniture, photographs, dresses, hats, newspapers, cigar boxes, and every other knick knack you can imagine. It was all there. I plan to post more comprehensively about our shopping day.
(Aunt Cathy, I want to take you there! We'd need to camp out a couple days to get through everything!)
Needless to say, there were more vintage hats than I could peruse. I wanted them all, but I landed on this one.
It needs a little bit of repairing (see the top flower petal), but I don't mind. It adds to the beauty of the piece. I'm not sure you can see it in the picture, but it is covered in black netting.
I told my friends we need to get all dressed up so I can wear this in Paris. We decided to get all dressed up and sit in the hotel lobby and sip some wine. We're getting to the point in our trip when none of wants to spend a lot of money on a nice dinner. :)
