Fishing Wednesday!

Last Wednesday, Tyler and I went fishing with Peter, Stephen, Ben, & Angela at B&A's infamous "backyard lake." Well, Tyler fished and I took pictures and chatted with Angela. Oh, and I untangled some line. It was super fun (as Sophie would say).

Apparently fishing is the newest thing - Wednesdays have now been officially dubbed "Fishing Wednesdays." We're going back over tonight! :)

I don't know what's going to happen when Ben and Angela go on vacation next week... ;)

Peter used a casting technique to catch small fish for bait. He was so excited about his hat. It definitely adds to the wild man look.
You can see the men are all very focused. Angela has her camera in hand, as I obviously did, too.

Ben used chicken livers as bait. They were so gross! I was trying my very hardest to be brave so Ben would invite me back. :P
I think this is so cute!

Stephen made his own path by venturing over to the other side of the lake. Isn't this a beautiful view?
And this is when Tyler caught a turtle...
Another thing that grossed me out was how long his neck got when they reeled him in! I was convinced it was going to come right off. I took this picture with my eyes closed...
(Note: the turtle made it back into the water safely.)
Here's Tyler using some of Peter's little bait fish. I think he may have caught a brim with this little guy.

Ben's happy because he caught a crazy orange fish!
So picturesque.
I like this one; I think it's very metaphorical. Notice how each person is doing something completely different. (Angela, I'm not implying that you're grumpy simply because your arms are crossed! ;)
Peter got the catch of the night! It was the ugliest-looking catfish I've ever beheld! Still, it was a good catch.
They're after the elusive bass tonight...

  4. I came down stairs (I can't remember when) and being the person I am, finished the chapter I was reading. After closing my book I found myself ten inches away from being poked by a fishing pole. On the other end grinned Ty. When I asked him what on earth he was doing with a fishing pole he said, "fishing of course, but why should you know that." Big grin. Yes this is the same brother I love and adore.
