Cross-Cultural Training Part 3

On Wednesday, I went for a short bonus run and walk with Julia's roommate, Christa. Thursday was out, because I woke to pouring rain.

Today was my highly anticipated 15K down by the Mekong.
Sone and I rose early and took the motorbike down to the river. When we arrived, the sun was just coming up - perfect time to start a run. She kindly sat and crocheted while I ran. I felt great! If it weren't for the fact that I left my shoes at home (brilliant, right?), I felt I could have run a half marathon this morning. As it is, I have fifteen kilometers and a few blisters to my name today. Twenty-two days till race day! I'm so excited!

After we returned home, I cleaned up and recharged with some fruit and veggie juice and a generous spoonful of peanut butter. Soon after, we went with Julia and her friends on a fun lunch adventure! More on that to come next time...

My beautiful view!
My sad, cracked iPod. Thankfully, it played music just fine! Good thing, too, because I listened to two CDs.
Would you look at that skyline?!
Post-run adventure! Stay tuned!
