New Blessing!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

Our family is feeling extra-blessed this year.

This little guy joined Team M on Monday night.

This BIG guy kept asking Caleb to play trucks with him. He is quite protective of his little brother and kept asking to hold him. (Melt!)

Amanda is a champ! And looking downright GORGEOUS considering the circumstances!

Lovin' on my nephews. (Alice was with Mama.) Isaac was kind enough to let me hold Baby Caleb.

Mom and I made nearly all the food yesterday. With two toddlers around, it was a challenge -- but loads of fun! Looking forward to some snuggle time with my three little loves today!

It's Brooklyn's first Thanksgiving. She's thrilled about all the food.

Happy Feet

I took a week of forced rest from most everything. (Is anyone really surprised I was sick in bed all week after my last post?) Rest is so hard for me! I know it was much needed, though, because I'm still recovering.

My family is on a beach vacation this week, and Ty and I snuck over for the weekend. While I knew my long run wasn't happening, I felt good enough to do two miles down the beach and two miles back.

The view was splendid. My feet were so happy to get moving after a week of rest.

The following day, this guy came with me.

This was the view from the condo. If pictures could speak, you'd hear this one calling my name.

That's right. That glassy water was the perfect greeting after our beach run. It made me miss my very short triathlon career! Cross training is so fun! Sadly, I don't have a Gulf in my backyard. But one of these days I'll get back to road-biking.

There were some other happy things going on, too! And you can bet these little feet kept moving all weekend!

Look Who's One!

That would be my nephew, Isaac.

(Not Issac, Isacc, or Issacc. That's Isaac - one s and two as.)

This is our boy at Disney yesterday. He has a thing for the Mouse.

So sweet! This was after one of those giant balloons popped. I don't blame the kid; it was loud!

Happy first birthday, Isaac James. We love you!

The Canine and The Cuteness

This is Julia with our little Gator on Saturday morning.

Tootsie hates it when Isaac gets all the attention, so she jumped right into the middle of things.

"Yeah, this was my family first."

"You think he has beautiful eyes? I can bat my lashes, too."

Annnd she goes in for the kill. The curly-haired mop on the side is me attempting to intervene.

Isaac's reaction. Ha ha.

"You think his army crawl is a big deal? Just try running on these short legs!"

 "So much fuss about a big, red dog. I could take him."

In this case, Isaac agrees.
