I took a piano lesson today. My current teacher lives nearly two-and-a-half hours from my home. It makes for a mini road trip about twice a month. This time, Ty came along. Of course we brought the pup and Ty kept her out-and-about during my lesson. With some better planning, next time they will hit up a dog beach. (Did I mention the part where we overslept and rushed out of the house?)
Brooklyn did great! We took advantage of one drive-thru line and I got out of the car so she could have a potty break outside of Chick-fil-a. She seems to enjoy the car. We've been taking her on short rides several times a week, and now I think she even finds the road relaxing. Sometimes when she's super wound up, I toss her in the car and go for a drive. It always calms her down.
After my lesson, we stopped at a cute beach cafe. Miracle of miracles: dog AND gluten-free friendly. Score!
It was a cold day for March 1, but we enjoyed our chilly patio seats. Brooklyn slept on my lap without issue. Too bad she's quickly outgrowing that seat!
