I thought I was finished with all my math courses.
Technically, I am.
Yeah, until my music theory class decides to experiment with interval class vectors.
If you have no clue what that means, you are blessed.
Basically, we're assigning numbers to pitches in 20th century music and talking about how they're organized.
Now I spend Tuesdays and Thursday counting pitches and transposing them and inverting them, etc, etc...wishing I wasn't counting.
Monday came and went without notice - the six month marker of Ty's living in TN. In some ways it feels like a lifetime since he moved, but really it's mostly flown by.
Sunday marks the 20th anniversary of my birth (yes, also known as my birthday), but who's counting that either?
I'd say I'm counting down to Ty's hopeful return in September, but I have mixed emotions about all the comings and goings this summer. I can't wait to have Ty home, but I'm dreading other goodbyes. As much as I've grown and Tyler and I have grown through separation, I'm not really excited at the thought of stretching myself that way in all of my other relationships.
(Read: I don't want everyone else to leave.)
I'm just taking life day by day.
One thing I am counting is this: 2 weeks until the Ws and I travel to TN!
I am very excited for you to turn 20. I think you will like it :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you start counting down to Ty's hopeful return, because Ben and I sure are! Remember those "salt water Saturdays" you spoke of? We're going to hold you guys to those :) Ben really misses his fishing buddy!
I can't wait to see you tomorrow.
Thought of the day:
You are awesome!
I'm counting as well, Doll. I was so spoiled by him coming home at least once per month! January was loooong, and February has been long (even though it's a short month!).
ReplyDeleteI'm so thankful that you're so busy. It helps, don't you think?
I'm counting...for your birthday, that is. Especially now that I've decided we're going to Gurtzberry. ;)
